Unexpectedly delightful

I was on the fence when I ordered these: warm winter PJs, but in shorts? But my goodness, they are perfect! I can sometimes overheat when the heat comes on in the early hours, but I don't with the shorts, but the long sleeves keep me warm enough to be comfortable. The material is just heavy enough to be worn on your typical winter nights (I've ordered flannel plaid PJs in the past which can only be worn on the deepest freezes of days because they're so heavy). The best part? The photos on the website don't show the delicate gold threading throughout the PJs that make it feel festive and even a little dressy. I bought a second pair because they are just that great.

These pajamas are even prettier in person, and they seem like they'll last a long time! I actually like the gold thread, shorts instead of pants, and the thinner flannel (which are good for people who get hot while sleeping). I have J.Crew's dreamy pajama set in a Medium, so I ordered these in a Medium as well. The top is long and loose, and the shorts bag out a little after you wear them, but I imagine the set will shrink in the wash over time. I don't mind the slightly oversized fit, but if you want a more immediately fitted look, maybe size down.
